Mother Goose Time

Iris uses the Mother Goose Time curriculum for teaching.

At the heart of learning lies a foundation of trust and love. That’s why Mother Goose Time is uniquely designed to support both teachers and parents, giving them more time to observe, understand, and play with children. The program provides specific materials and inspiring ideas to engage children through art, music, logic games, and hands-on inquiry activities. Mother Goose Time uniquely integrates 33 research-based skills into monthly themes and exploration projects. As children participate in the Mother Goose Time program, they are naturally exposed to skills that foster social-emotional, physical, language, and cognitive development. These skills, when nurtured in a supportive environment with intentional teaching methods and meaningful relationships, greatly help prepare children for school readiness.

We further enrich the Mother Goose Time program with a wide variety of additional activities, including projects, arts and crafts games, songs, fingerplays, creative drama, physical exercises, science, shapes, numbers, colors, the alphabet, and more — all presented through weekly and monthly thematic units.

At IRIS, children begin their day with Circle Time, where they come together to discuss the daily topic, weather, and exciting activities ahead. During this time, children learn to listen, share, take turns, cooperate, express themselves, and give and receive ideas — offering them meaningful opportunities to demonstrate what they are learning. We introduce each new concept in a natural, thoughtful sequence so that your child stays engaged and never overwhelmed.

We believe children learn best through active participation. That’s why we offer hands-on, knowledge-building activities that strike a balance between key experiential skills essential for early childhood education. All of this is part of our mission to nurture happy, confident children — kids who smile as they sing, speak, dance, rhyme, count, play, create, and even write.

By the time your child completes their learning journey at IRIS, they are not only ready for the next stage of school — they are empowered to become lifelong learners and creative problem solvers.
